Carl Buehl is an Emmy-Award-winning Executive Producer with more than 30 years in the industry. He has developed, produced and/or directed a range of television shows – from America’s Most Wanted to the paranormal world of Sightings, from Amazing Race to Celebrity Fit Club to My Lottery Dream Home, and numerous other shows. His vision for characters, storytelling and developing formats that are delivered on time and on budget have placed him at the forefront of the alternative/reality television market. Currently focused on continuing to establish himself as a show runner extraordinaire, Carl is also developing a range of innovative projects in the mental health arena as well as producing documentaries and character-centric follow-docs in several arenas.
Winning the 2014/2015 Outstanding Lifestyle Program Emmy for Home Made Simple and 2015/2016 Emmy nominations for Build Small Live Anywhere and Home Made Simple, he has most recently brought several pilots to successful series, including HGTV’s Montana Home and My Lottery Dream Home and DIY’s Holmes: Buy it Right.
In a career that began in talk radio and led first to editing television commercials, Carl went on to producing and/or directing shows on FOX’s America’s Most Wanted, Lifetime’s Speaking of Women’s Health, CBS’s ECO-Challenge as well as on Sightings, Paradise Hotel, and a host of other shows, including producing season 4 of the Emmy-winning Amazing Race. He was also Senior Producer for seasons 1 and 2 of FOX’s The Swan, and then Co-Executive Producer for ABC’s hit Supernanny, MTV’s Homewrecker with Ryan Dunn, and VH1’s Celebrity Fit Club, and Executive Producer and Director of the hit Sunset Tan for E!
Since 2007, he has Executive Produced and developed shows on Bravo, HGTV, Travel Channel, Discovery, Animal Planet, TLC and OWN, including Haunted Housing, The Bakery Bunch, Pawn Queens, Jesse James: Outlaw Garage, Blood & Oil, Pool Master, and other shows.
