Matt Gould, Executive Vice President, PactUS

Matt Gould, based in New York and working hand-in-hand with PactUS President David Lyle in Los Angeles, joined the association representing independent television production companies in 2015 from indieprod Zig Zag Productions.

As EVP from 2011 responsible for its US division, Gould helped grow London-based Zig Zag’s US business with programming for broadcasters including Syfy, Fox, National Geographic Channel, A&E, Nickelodeon and Condé Nast Entertainment.

Previously, he served as executive producer, program development, at Turner Broadcasting-owned TruTV. During his time there Gould contributed to the network’s rapid growth by developing and exec producing some of its highest-rated series including Storage Hunters, Conspiracy Theory with Jesse Ventura and Full Throttle Saloon.

Prior to joining TruTV, he was Head of program development at Travel Channel, responsible for such big hits as Man vs. Food and Ghost Adventures. From 2004-06, as senior executive producer at Discovery Channel and TLC, he oversaw some 120 shows per year including international hits Miami Ink, Overhaulin’ and American Chopper.

Earlier, working as an executive producer at The New York Times Company during a period of rapid growth, Gould oversaw such hits as Trauma: Life in the ER, and A Cook’s Tour with Anthony Bourdain
